Hamsik: I reject the offer from Juventus and Milan
Marek Hamsik insists that he wants to finish his career with Napoli, but he also confirmed that has rejected offers from Juventus and AC Milan in the past.
Captain Partenopei, also joined in the Slovak national team squad, has spent the last 10 years at Stadio San Paolo, with his former Mino Raiola client admitting this week that the midfielder wants to last a lifetime.
“Life in football is very difficult to guess, so you never know what will happen,” Hamsik explained in an interview with the media.
“I do not think to leave Napoli. I used to refuse offers from Juventus and Milan because I did not feel ready. But I’m happy to stay in Naples. ”
“I can even finish my career here, maybe after winning the Scudetto, but I hope I do not have to wait until I turn 40 to make it happen.”
Hamsik needed two goals to equal the all-time goalscoring record for Napoli, with a title currently held by Diego Maradona.
“I really hope to beat that record. Maradona is history for Naples. ”
“The league is the goal of the season, but this time the competition will certainly be much more balanced.”
The 30-year-old also discussed coach Maurizio Sarri, as well as Napoli’s Champions League group.
“We have grown a lot over the past two years,” Hamsik said.
“Sarri is a perfect motivator, she is a great psychologist and really knows how to build relationships.”
“Champions League? I think our group is very good. “
